Choosing health insurance is an important decision for you and your family. ESI offers four different medical plans, including an HSA. We also have dental and vision plans, so you can tailor coverage to meet your specific needs.


CareFirst medical insurance options include both regional HMO and national PPO plans with multiple levels to fit the varying needs of you and your eligible family members.

CareFirst Dental insurance is a national PPO plan providing your family with routine preventative care and help towards the more expensive aspects of dental health.


CareFirst Vision coverage makes regular exams and the purchase of glasses and contacts simple and affordable.

HSA (Health Savings Account)

For those choosing the High Deductible Healthcare Plan, a Health Savings Account is available to set aside pre-tax dollars for your future healthcare needs. An HSA is like a retirement plan for your healthcare needs.

FSA Health Care

Health Care Flexible Spending Accounts allow you to set aside pre-tax dollars to pay for qualified medical, dental, and vision expenses – those that are not covered by your health plan or anywhere else.

FSA Dependent Care

Flexible Spending Accounts allow you to set aside pre-tax dollars to pay for eligible dependent care expenses like child or adult daycare programs. You’ll save money while providing care for your family so that you can continue to work.

All employees are able to utilize a free, confidential Employee Assistance Program to help with many of life’s challenges. The EAP includes resources to get you started in meeting your mental wellness needs, relationship challenges, life events, financial counseling, and more. EAPs are the newest way employees feel supported at ESI.

Any unplanned incident that affects your ability to earn income is stressful. Our income insurance helps reduce that stress and gives you support when you need it most.


Group Term Basic Life Insurance is provided in the amount of 100% of your annual salary, up to $130K. ESI pays 100% of all premium costs.

Accidental Death and Dismemberment insurance is included as a part of your Basic Life Coverage. ESI pays 100% of all premium costs.


Short-term Disability insurance is provided in the amount of 60% of your salary, to a maximum of $1500/week. ESI pays 100% of all premium costs.


Long-term Disability insurance is provided in the amount of 60% of your salary, to a maximum of $8000/month. ESI pays 100% of all premium costs.


Vacation Leave starts accruing on your first day with ESI, and we regularly encourage you to use some or all of your annual vacation leave to take time away from work to rest, relax, and pursue special interests.


ESI follows the federal government (OPM) standard holiday schedule, granting employees the following 11 paid holidays: New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King Day, President’s Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veteran’s Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.


We all need time to recuperate when not feeling well. That’s why ESI provides 40 hours of annual sick leave (pro-rated for new employees). These 40 hours are front-loaded at the beginning of each year and up to 200 hours can be carried over at the end of each year.


ESI employees receive up to 5 days (40 hours) of paid time off for jury duty.


ESI offers paid parental leave for the first 10 missed workdays following the birth, adoption or placement of a foster child.


ESI offers from 1 to 3 days for bereavement leave in the event of the death of an immediate family member.

We encourage all our employees to plan for their financial future. By offering both pre-tax traditional 401(k) accounts and post-tax Roth 401(k) Safe Harbor accounts, and contributing a match up to 4% every pay period, ESI’s Retirement plan helps employees meet their goals.
